Mood & Anxiety Disorder Treatment

Anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, and grief can each affect daily life in different ways, and no two clients experience them the same. This service focuses on a full clinical evaluation to understand what's actually driving your symptoms, then builds a treatment plan around evidence-based methods suited to your specific diagnosis. Both adults and children receive care here, with sessions structured to adjust as progress is made, so treatment never feels static or generic. The goal throughout is steady, measurable movement toward stability, not just short-term symptom relief.

Child & Adolescent Behavioral Therapy

When a child is struggling emotionally or behaviorally, whether at home, in the classroom, or both, it affects the whole family. This service provides age-appropriate therapy for children and teens dealing with conditions like oppositional defiance disorder, along with broader emotional and behavioral difficulties. Treatment doesn't stop at the office door: direct coordination with teachers and school counselors helps build effective IEPs and 504 Plans, so the support a child receives in session carries into their classroom experience. Parents and caregivers are included in the process whenever it benefits the child's progress.

Accelerated Anxiety Program

Traditional weekly therapy works well for many clients, but some need relief faster than a once-a-week schedule allows. The Accelerated Anxiety Program condenses treatment into a more immersive, intensive outpatient format, giving clients meaningful progress in a fraction of the time. It remains the only program of its kind currently offered in the Acadiana area, built specifically for chronic anxiety that has resisted slower approaches. Scheduling stays flexible to fit around work and family obligations, while sessions remain one-on-one throughout, so care never feels rushed or impersonal despite the accelerated pace.

Family Therapy

Mental health challenges rarely stay contained to one person, they ripple through an entire household. Family therapy sessions create a structured, guided space where every family member can be heard, whether the issue is ongoing conflict, a shared loss, or the strain of supporting a loved one through a mental health condition. Sessions focus on practical communication tools families can carry into daily life, not just conversation confined to the therapy room. Scheduling is flexible enough to accommodate different family situations, and every session is treated with the same confidentiality and respect given to individual clients.

Crisis Intervention

A mental health crisis doesn't wait for a convenient appointment time, and neither does this service. Crisis intervention provides rapid, prioritized scheduling for individuals and families facing an urgent situation, paired with an immediate clinical assessment to determine what's needed right away. From there, short-term stabilization strategies are put in place to manage the crisis in the moment, followed by a clear plan connecting the client to ongoing care once the immediate danger has passed. Two decades of clinical experience, including background in both medical and behavioral health settings, inform how these situations are recognized and handled.

Anxiety

Anxiety shows up as constant worry, racing thoughts, or physical symptoms that make daily tasks hard. Treatment builds tools to manage triggers, with accelerated relief.

Depression

Depression affects energy, motivation, and the ability to find meaning in daily life. Sessions focus on building a plan toward stability.

OCD

Obsessive-compulsive disorder traps clients in cycles of intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors. Treatment interrupts these patterns, helping regain control.

Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder brings extreme shifts between emotional highs and lows that disrupt relationships. Treatment centers on stabilizing mood and managing episodes.

Oppositional Defiance Disorder

Children and teens with oppositional defiance disorder often struggle with authority at home. Treatment works with family, coordinating with teachers.

Grief

Grief affects everyone differently, with no set timeline for working through loss. Sessions offer space to process grief at your pace.
